The Westwood Patriots hosted the Houghton Gremlins Friday night in Boys Basketball action at Westwood High School. A lot of shots by both teams to start the game, but neither could get the buckets to drop. Both Houghton and Westwood pressed the ball to the net, but Houghton wound up getting into foul trouble early with 4 team fouls before the end of the 1st, with Westwood taking advantage to end the quarter up by ten 13-3.
Fouls continued to plague both teams as each had 14 fouls midway through the 2nd period, but Westwood continued to hold the lead through the 2nd quarter, pulling out to a 25-14 lead to go into the locker room at the half.
The Westwood Boys return to the airwaves Tuesday night as Joe Ducksworth brings you the call as the Gladstone Braves travel north to take the Patriots at Westwood High School Gymnasium.
