Marquette, MI – October 4, 2021 – The Marquette boys soccer team traveled to Houghton on Saturday for a varsity soccer game. Ezra Pickard got the scoring started off an Axel Vermaat assist. Lamb Ngafeeson scored as well as Max Dawson twice before halftime. Pickard, Vermaat, and Hayden Byma assisted respectively. Houghton scored right before halftime making it 4-1. In the second half, Byma converted a penalty kick before Pickard and Dawson each scored again off assists from Evan Sysko, Pickard, and Kaleb Chipelewski. Isaac Johnson faced six shots in the net. Marquette improves to 18-2 on the season and travel to Sault Ste. Marie on Wednesday for the regular season final.
